Arms leave it too late to be come back kings at Worthing

So it was off to Sunny Worthing for our 4th league game of the season and an eye on securing a win... Sadly it was not to be despite some great performances from the whole team.
As ever, my recollection of events is a little hazy so any errors can easily be amended in due course.
We started at a canter, putting pressure on Worthing from our kick off and forcing them to concede a penalty on our half. The kick to touch resulted in a controlled drive to the line from which Ali Hoare flopped over the line (Sorry Ali). Mr Soap sadly slid the conversion wide.
At this point i was personally relieved (in more ways than is usual) to see the gamely figure of Ben Midgeley arrive pitch side, we'd scored a try and my 5 minutes was up! The Norfolk continued to pressure for the next 5 minutes but were constantly frustrated by some persistent ruck infringements etc. What followed was even odder, in short Worthing scored 4 soft tries in 25 minutes (3 converted) to leave Norfolk Arms stunned and being blunt a little flummoxed, WTF?
Thankfully, we regained control in the last 5 minutes of this first period. As a result of yet more (and largely unpunished) foul play at the ruck, we marched forward. Paul - Blah Blah Blah - (Boyo) Williams was heading for the corner when some Oaf tackled him around the neck, The referee was next seen under the posts awarding us a penalty try (I have given this to me, as the system needs a name for the stats, if anyone else thinks they are worthy then please send a note and £20). Mr Soap managed to convert this from in front.
Half time
Second half was all red and black and the come back was on, unfortunately the clock did not agree.
Hard won tries from both Mooey and Windy Miller were excellent, sadly Mr Soap struggled from out wide in the conditions to add the extras.

Final score 26-22 to Worthing.

Well done to Tyler on his first appearance. The first of many I hope. Equally, big thanks to Jeremy and Pops for holding fort on the bench.

Horsham at home next week. Lets have a big W!
