Steyning rfc turned up in good strength to face a competitive Pulborough side eager to beat their rivals. Steyning have only beaten Pulborough once since 2016 and the team were only too aware of that fact. The match was fairly balanced in the first half with Steyning scoring some well worked tries through the forwards despite battling up hill. Pulborough defiantly scored in the corner just before half time to keep pressure upon Steyning. In the second half, Steyning used their larger pack to assert dominance and used the sloped pitch to their advantage.
Louie Lawrence-Fuller caused havoc from the base of the scrum and carried hard during the match which earned him the coveted Man of the Match; thoroughly well deserved.
Steyning would like to thank Pulborough for their hosting and tough match and eagerly await the next clash.
