Steyning v Ditchling. A league fixture that's full of meaning and purpose following on from last seasons narrow loss at Ditchling in the Sussex Cup...

This first league match - as expected - was a brutal encounter. Steyning won the match, despite the horrendous weather conditions (almost 20,000 leagues rather than Sussex Leagues!) 26-5, showing real heart and dogged determination, particularly in defence.

Steyning certainly enjoyed the match and all credit to Ditchling who were as tough and resilient as expected. Roll on the away fixture on Valentines Weekend!

As the team's captain I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the families and supporters who came along as ever and made us proud to be on the pitch representing our community... it makes such a difference to us as players to be cheered on come rain (lots of it yesterday) or shine. Your support is greatly appreciated.
